Arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina in corruption case, political crisis deepened

An arrest warrant has been issued against former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for corruption. In this case, he and other members of his government have been convicted of involvement in irregularities and financial scams.

International News: There have been serious allegations against former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family. Now a Bangladesh court has issued an arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajib Vajed and other 16 people. All of them are accused of irregularities in corruption and land allocation. It is alleged that Sheikh Hasina and her associates corruption in the allocation of residential plots on the outskirts of Dhaka and disregarded the rules.

Arrest warrant and court order

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge of Bangladesh has issued an arrest warrant in two cases based on the charge sheet filed by the Anti -Corruption Commission (ACC). These cases are related to irregularities in land allocation in Purvanchal New Town. According to a government lawyer, most of the accused are government officials, who were involved in corruption in land allocation. The court has ordered the police that if Sheikh Hasina and other accused are arrested, they will have to submit the report by April 29

Misuse of political power

According to the investigating officer, allegations of misuse of political power against Sheikh Hasina and her family have been confirmed. The court has ordered the in -charge of police stations of Dhaka and other parts of the country to submit the progress report of following the arrest warrant till the respective date. Earlier, the court issued an arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina, her daughter Syama Vajd Putul, sister Sheikh Rehana, British MP Tulip Rizwana Siddiqui and others on charges of misuse of political power. It was alleged that all these together promoted irregularities in land allocation and misused government posts.

Controversial land allocation

The case has taken the form of a major political dispute in Bangladesh, where corruption allegations in land allocation have pushed the image of Sheikh Hasina and her family. This arrest warrant has been issued in the case of alleged irregularities in the allocation of residential land in Purvanchal New Town. It is alleged that Sheikh Hasina and her family illegally allotted government land for personal gains by misusing their political powers.

Escalating Corruption Allegations 

Allegations of irregularities in corruption and land allocation against former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family are becoming serious. The court has now issued an arrest warrant to increase the seriousness of the case.
